We're celebrating spring by sponsoring four giveaway contests with prizes from Williams-Sonoma Agrarian's new catalog. Last week we invited readers to tell us how they would use the first prize, a Galvanized Trug. The winner is (drum roll, please) Maura from Massachusetts, whose plan to help out her mother in the garden warmed our hearts.
"I would use it to hold all my fresh fruit or also for collecting the wild flowers and herbs my boyfriend has just started growing," she wrote. "And, in the nicer weather, I'd bring it over to my mother's house to help her weed." When we contacted Maura after the contest ended, we learned she recently purchased an urban loft with good light, has been window box gardening, and is looking forward to expanding her garden after the long New England winter ends. We wish her the best of luck.
We've got a new contest for you to enter this week. For a chance to win a set of copper garden hand tools from Agrarian, follow Gardenista on Twitter and tweet to us #gardenchores along with a description of your must-have tool for working in the dirt by 8 pm, PST, Sunday, March 31. For the full contest rules, see Tweet to Win: Let's get #GardenChores Trending.

Here, Erin's window garden box adds cheerful greenery to her Brooklyn abode. Glean some of her tips on DIY: A Window Box Grows in Brooklyn.

Above: We like Maura's idea of using her prize as a fruit bowl as well as a garden carrier. The Galvanized Trug is $29.95 from Agrarian. Maura will also be receiving a set of Oak Garden Markers.
Congratulations to Maura and our huge thanks to everyone who commented and signed up for the Gardenista Daily Newsletter. From Barb who told us about her upcoming move to a home with a large garden, to Anita who would have offered the trug to her neighbor, we enjoyed reading every comment.
Let's keep the conversation going. We're hosting a month's worth of contests as we continue to celebrate spring—and we want to hear from you. This week, we're curious to know what you love most about getting your hands dirty. Tweet us your favorite #gardenchores to win a set of Copper Tools from Agrarian.
