To celebrate the arrival of spring and cap off a month of giveaway contests, this week we're awarding a grand prize from William-Sonoma Agrarian's spring catalog: a Freestanding Vertical Garden with a value of $400.

With a Freestanding Vertical Garden, you can plant a year round "living wall" of herbs in your kitchen (imagine stepping over to grab a few snips of fresh thyme or rosemary while you're cooking your favorite dish).

Read to start cooking? Here's how to enter the contest:

  • "Like" Gardenista on Facebook.
  • Post a photo of a dish you made from a recipe that you created; at least one ingredient must be a fresh herb, particularly one you would choose to grow in a Freestanding Vertical Garden.
  • Encourage your friends to go to Gardenista's Facebook page to like your photo; the photo with the most "likes" on Gardenista's Facebook page will win. (And please note: If your recipe sounds especially delicious, we may ask to include in a post.)
  • The contest will officially close 6 pm EST, Sunday, April 14.

For cooking inspiration, here are a few of our favorite recipes calling for fresh, handpicked herbs.
